Sabine Möller (39) has been recruited to head up Helaba's Asset Finance division with effect from 15 October 2023.
Her professional background to date spans many years in a variety of managerial roles at Deutsche Bank AG, where she was head, among others, of the Structured Finance Sales department for the DACH region and Real Estate Origination. Most recently, Sabine Möller was Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Teilkauf GmbH.
In appointing Sabine Möller, Helaba has gained a highly skilled professional with considerable expertise in structuring and a strong capital market focus. She succeeds Dr Ulrich Pähler, who retired at the end of June after 27 years at Helaba.
Christian Schmid, a member of Helaba's Executive Board with responsibility for the Asset Finance division, commented: "Dr Ulrich Pähler was instrumental in successfully developing Helaba's asset finance business for many years. The fact that the bank provides project, transport and specialised financing solutions that are tailored to our customers' specific needs is among his greatest achievements. For this, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Pähler for his commitment and wish him a fulfilling retirement. At the same time, we look forward to welcoming Sabine Möller. Her appointment means we are gaining a seasoned structuring expert, who has made a name for herself in the industry thanks, in particular, to her approach in tapping new asset classes and their potential as capital market instruments. I am absolutely certain that she will successfully future proof our Asset Finance division so that it remains viable in the years to come."
