In his new role, Philipp Schwaab will lead the group-wide project “Helaba AI”
To emphasize the forward-looking significance of “artificial intelligence” (AI) for Helaba’s development, Helaba has created the new position of Chief AI Officer (CAIO) for the entire group and filled it internally. With the “Helaba AI” project, the Landesbank is building on its already successful initiatives and the further development of its IT environment.
“Artificial intelligence has the potential to completely change the working world for our customers and for ourselves in a positive way. We have already taken the first important steps on the road to using AI and will continue to expand our activities in this area,” said Thomas Groß, CEO of Helaba. ”We are therefore delighted to appoint Philipp Schwaab, a highly competent and exceptionally committed colleague, as Chief AI Officer of the Helaba Group. We wish him every success in his new role."
Building on his studies in business informatics, Philipp Schwaab initially worked in various specialist and management positions in the information technology of Commerzbank and has been responsible for IT security at Helaba since 2019.
In his new role, Philipp Schwaab will report directly to Peter Leimert, head of Group Controlling.
