In March 2018, Helaba was given a new rating by oekom research, a rating agency for sustainable investment.
For the first time, the bank’s corporate rating was awarded Prime Status for outstanding sustainability performance in this segment. With a “C” grade on a scale from “D” to “A+”, Helaba was placed in the top quarter of a peer group consisting of 89 banks worldwide. It has thus consolidated its position among the leading financial institutions in the area of sustainability.
“This distinction underlines our sustainable business strategy and confirms the success of our project, launched at the beginning of 2017, to improve the Group’s sustainability profile across all business lines. With the publication of the Code of Conduct as well as the expansion in our risk strategies to include sustainability criteria, we have successfully implemented key elements of this project. We are delighted with the rating result and will continue to develop our sustainability profile in 2018 as well”, explained Herbert Hans Grüntker, the Chairman of Helaba’s Board of Managing Directors.
Ecological and social responsibility is an integral component of our business strategy.
